This course is designed for students requiring an accelerated course of study and achievement in graphics production including planning, design and creation of digital 2D graphics and 3D animation. Students work in current industry software in both vector-based and pixel-based applications, acquire essential design, illustration and problem-solving skills and learn how to manage graphics projects and understand how to print or output graphics correctly.
The course aims to enable students to learn to use concept development procedures and visual communication problem solving in image production environments. Also to use computer software applications to create illustrations and other graphic materials and to demonstrate knowledge of colour, perspective, line quality and other illustrative factors. Finally to be able to explain 3D concept development, construction, modelling, texture mapping and animation
