This course introduces students to the fundamental skills needed for a career in Interior Architecture & Architecture, including the use of CAD, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create 3D models. Students will also be introduced to the basic design process, which will enable them to undertake investigation and analysis. These are fundamental if they wish to communicate and present their work successfully in the design industry.
The knowledge they develop will be particularly important when they complete a set brief focused on the physical making, prototyping and testing of their designs. Students will also be encouraged to examine critically how people occupy and use their environment, to further their understanding of how places are designed for people.
