LEARNING RESOURCE CENTRE
We have a learning resource centre with a good range of print and electronic publications and an Information Communication Technology (ICT) suite with high bandwidth internet access. Students can use these computers for as long as they are in the College to access our full range of online library resources, the Virtual Learning Environment and research information for their assignments.
VIRTUAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT (VLE)
Our VLE provides (myfreshart) a 24-hour access to a range of learning resources including lesson notes, handouts, links to additional learning resources, televised lectures and videos. It is a platform for online academic discussions and it is also linked to the Turnitin software for submission of assignments online. It also provides access to announcements, College policies, updates on the courses and other relevant information about the College that directly affect your studies.
STUDENT AFFAIRS OFFICE
Student Affairs consists of a dedicated team of individuals who connect, support, educate, empower, and engage our students in life outside-of-the-classroom. We are committed to serving students and take pride in our common goal of student success. Throughout the Student Affairs office, you will find caring and supportive individuals who are dedicated to helping our students succeed.
Meet for a meal, or just relax at the student cafeteria. There are hot and cold drinks and a range of great quality and nutritious snacks available to students at affordable prices. Each common room is also fitted with widescreen TVs for relaxation.
Students automatically become a member of the Students’ Union once they have enrolled on a course. The Student Union is the students’ voice, creates campaigns, events and activities for students, and to makes sure that they are getting the most out of the College experience.
The Student Union is run by students, and there are also two members of staff in place that enable to communicate what the students need to the College leadership team. They also support students in creating enrichment activities that matter, and organising trips.
The accommodation service department provides students with information and advice on finding and securing accommodation. We also provide assistance if you have any problems arising from your accommodation. We aim to support students finding their preferred accommodation based on every individual’s needs, even if this is near the college or at a specific location with certain specifications.
At Freshart College we are working hard to provide quality support to our students.
